The James M MacLaren Society was founded in 2005. The Society promotes the appreciation of the work of this pioneering arts and crafts architect, and of his colleagues and successors. The Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) has determined that the organisation meets the charity test and the legal requirements for being a SCIO, and has entered it in the Scottish Charity Register. This means it now has charitable status under the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005. The charity number is SC053994.
Anyone interested in local and national architecture is invited to join the society.
